These are all pictures from our drive through Colorado. The West! We ran into a really crazy rain storm in a canyon on the way to Denver, luckily we made it out alive. The next day we got up really early and headed to Iowa via Nebraska. The first place we stopped to get gas we saw this...



So apparently this town in Nebraska likes to kick it a little differently.

Welcome to the world of corn! While the following pictures may all look like they were taken in the same place they were in fact taken in three different states. Who knew there was so much corn in the world!

We stopped in Iowa for the night and then got up the next morning in hopes of making it to Indiana before my moving cube did (which we did thankfully!)

Sorry this post is a bit discombobulated, but I wanted to share some pictures of the drive over and contrast the landscape. Goodbye mountains. Hello corn!

First post from Indiana...

and it's going to be a lame one--sorry! But hopefully more exciting posts including pictures will ensue shortly. We arrived today in Indiana safe and sound and got to my apartment before my moving cube arrived. Really, things pretty much fell into place nicely. Hurray!

On a some what random note Indiana has HUGE scary looking wasp things and beetles--in general the bugs here appear to be twice the size of the insects in Utah/Idaho. Seriously! Oh also my apartment turned out to be pretty nice--hurray again! I'll post pictures soon!

ahhh! A huge moth just ran into me as I was typing this post--just thought I'd share.

Last post from Provo!

I'm saying goodbye to Provo in the morning and starting out on my cross country drive (accompanied by my younger brother--hurray!) to Indiana. Wish me luck! That is all I have to say...

Feeling Safer Already

My younger brother recently gifted me a self defense flashlight. That's right a flashlight that doubles as a weapon. Who knew such things existed!




So it has two light settings; one for every day use (pictured on the left) and the other is a whopping 120 lumens that will momentarily blind someone (pictured on the right). And the fun doesn't stop there! It also has this unique beveled edge that can do some serious damage (well at least more damage than a normal flashlight) should you need to smash someone in the face, arm, etc. if the momentary blinding doesn't give you enough time to make your escape. It was ridiculously expensive, but also ridiculously cool.
