Finding the perfect jeans

I've been on the hunt for a cute pair of jeans for some time now. It is so hard to find jeans that are figure flattering and comfortable, that aren't too long or too short, etc. Well I finally found some and in the most unexpected place too.

Who knew that the cutest jeans I've tried on in a very long while would be maternity jeans!

I don't fill them out quite as nicely as this model, but give me a few months....

Alas, sometime after December 6th I'll have to start the hunt for cute jeans all over again. Until then I'm going to relish my "cute jean" find...and my expanding belly :)

Latest and greatest

It has been a couple of busy weeks since I last updated le blog. First, I survived my thesis proposal meeting (all 1.5+ hours of it) and got the go ahead to start working on it. Hurray! Now I just need to be really motivated and get it done before we leave...

Second, Nathan survived his dissertation proposal meeting (all 2 hours of it) and got the go ahead to start working on his dissertation. Another hurray!

We both had a successful end to our semester, which was the last of our course work for our respective degrees. Now it's just a lot of writing and researching (plus interning for Nathan) until we are D-O-N-E...done! (I'm looking forward to this day, can you tell?)

And last but not least a few pictures of our {read: Nathan's} latest culinary adventure: Coconut Cake from America's Test Kitchen. This is an interesting recipe because the cake itself is coconut flavored (Nathan's a huge coconut fan)
