A trip to the zoo

This past weekend we took the boys on their first trip to the zoo. They actually have a fairly decent zoo here, but boy howdy was it busy. It was one of the first nice days we've had in a while so people came out to the zoo in droves.

We made the rounds and saw a bunch of animals, like:

Kangaroos
Bats
Tortoise
Cool looking fish
Flamingos
(which were incredibly noisey!)

But by far I think the most popular exhibit at the zoo this weekend was this...

I cannot tell you how many people stopped us/smiled at us/ pointed us out to their children etc etc. My favorite had to be the sweet little girl who wanted a picture of them and then her mom wanted her to take a picture with them that they could send to their family in the Philippines. Of course I let them. So funny!

A little spring cleaning treasure

So I was going through the pictures on my hard drive trying to get things organized (we have about a bajillion pictures of the boys already) and I came across a few gems that I either hadn't seen or had just totally forgotten about.

Exhibit A

{oh how I wish this picture was in focus! I would frame it right along with this picture.}

Exhibit B

{Can we be done with this eating thing already.}

{Thanks for the sustenance. I'll catch you on the flip side.}

Exhibit C

{Thank heavens I have a husband with the presence of mind to find the camera in the middle of the night. Funniest part of this, I don't even remember going and bringing Gavin into bed! Sleep deprivation does funny things to the brain :)}

once there was...

...a cute baby learning how to giggle...
And he got better at it the more he practiced making patty cakes...

{Notice him going cross-eyed when Nathan touches his foot to his nose. Bwahahahaha}

Feeding skillz part 1

With twins you sometimes have to get creative.

Look forward to seeing more pictures like this.

The babies favorite toy...

Forget expensive toys, this thing is by far the babies favorite toy. Though I must admit sometimes its hard to compete with a bookcase for your baby's attention :)

I'm hoping this means they'll be avid readers one day.
