We celebrated this guy's birthday about a month ago. It was the first time we haven't been moving on his birthday in three years (he's a trooper and never complained). We definitely needed to mark the occasion. I went all out this year, invited friends over, decorated (see puffy tissues balls below), made cupcake stands a la dollar tree and decorated with DIY ink blots for people to interpret (he is a psychologist after all!). The part prep was fun, but most of our friends had to cancel last minute for various reasons so it didn't turn out quite how I was expecting. It was still fun of course and any celebration in honor of Nate is awesome! Sadly, I didn't take a single picture of all that hard work before we took most of it down, but I was really pleased with how it all turned out. I did snap the picture below a few days (ok maybe it was more like an entire week) later just before we took the last of the decorations down.

The boys loved the tissue balls and Andrew learned to say "pretty" because of them. He went around the house oohing and ahhing over them (so cute!).
I am so grateful for Nate. He's a great husband, a phenomenal father, and an incredibly hard worker. And he can annoy me like no one else can (just keeping it real :)). But I love all of him! He brings a lot of laughter to our home (you should hear the squeals of delight during his Saturday morning playtime with our boys) as well as just plain goodness and kindness (of which I benefit daily!).
Happy Birthday to the favorite man in this house!
