For Valentines Day I made Nathan a new comforter for his bed. I used the flat sheet from a sheet set for the top and then backed it with strips of flannel to match the stripey top fabric. Consequently there were matching pillow cases and sheets to boot! (I also threw in a Martha Stewart coordinating bed skirt for good measure.) Making this comforter was quite the endeavor and it turned out a bit skewampus, but hey you can't really tell (Though at some point I may disassemble it and fix it). The best part is that I tied it with buttons! So every little dot you see on the bigger pictures is a set of three buttons. Yeah I can't remember now exactly how many buttons I used, but I think it ended up being 150+ buttons. (If that isn't love I don't know what is!:))
All in all in turned out pretty cool. Little did I know that I was going to benefit from my efforts.
